Helen’s Background and Current Work
Helen Eaton (nee Kippin) is an independent education consultant working with primary schools across the UK. Helen has a breadth of teaching experience across a range of leadership roles within a wide context of schools.
Helen has taught from Early Years Foundation Stage, through to year six. She is particularly experienced in supporting children and teachers with the tricky transition from Foundation Stage in to year one.
Prior to becoming a self-employed consultant Helen has been a ‘Leading Year 2′ and a ‘Leading Interactive Whiteboard’ teacher and was a moderator of Key Stage One Mathematics SATs for Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWaC).
In addition to attaining her National Professional Qualification for Headship, Helen joined CWaC’s Primary Mathematics Consultants team on secondment, to train and support teachers across Cheshire West and Chester.
In 2014 Helen set up her own business, Eaton Education Consultancy, supporting schools primarily in and around Cheshire.
Helen is a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Chester, speaking about her extensive experience in teaching phonics and administering the year one phonics screening check. Helen’s work at the University of Chester is primarily involved with writing and delivering Early Years and Primary Mathematics ITT training to students at the University of Chester’s Warrington Campus.
Helen is also an Associate Consultant for ECM Education Consultants since 2014, supporting schools, academies and teachers across the UK.
